In September 2021, Twitter introduced a new feature called Twitter Communities to compete for side by side with platforms such as Facebook Groups and Reddit.
But that feature was limited to iOS and Twitter Web users. However, with the latest version of Android (9.26.0), Android users will be able to easily connect to Twitter Communities and post tweets.
Community Owners can decide whether their community is an Open Community or Invite Only Community, and Community Participations can invite up to a maximum of 5 users to the Community.
If you would like to try out this Twitter Community feature, you may have the opportunity to join several of the following communities highlighted by Twitter.
- Roblox
- Xbox Community
- Tech Twitter
- Fashion
- R&B Twitter
- Formula 1
Twitter has not yet provided a direct facility for users to create a Twitter community and added that Twitter will continue to provide such a feature in the future.
